What's the difference between a custom home and a project home?+

A project home is built from a fixed catalogue of designs with limited customisation. A custom home is designed from scratch around your site, budget, brief and lifestyle — with no design constraints other than engineering, council and your imagination. Mintconstruct only builds true custom homes.

Do you offer fixed-price contracts?+

Yes. Once design and selections are locked in, every Mintconstruct custom home is delivered under a fixed-price construction contract on the QBCC Level 2 Residential Building Contract template. No allowance traps, no hidden variations.

How long does a custom home take to build?+

A typical Gold Coast custom home takes 10–14 months from site start to handover. Architectural waterfront homes often run 14–18 months due to engineering, piling and slab depths on canal blocks. We provide a binding programme at contract and a live schedule via our client portal.

Can you work with my own architect or designer?+

Absolutely. Many clients come to us with a designer already engaged, and we collaborate seamlessly. If you don't have one, we'll introduce you to architects and designers we trust and have delivered award-standard homes with.

Are you licensed to build any size home in Queensland?+

Yes. Mintconstruct holds a QBCC Unrestricted Builder licence (1206310) — there is no project size, scope or value we are not legally licensed to deliver in Queensland. Every residential build is covered by QBCC Home Warranty Insurance.
