What insurers do you work with?+

Director Geoff Symons spent the early part of his career inside the national insurance building sector. Mintconstruct works directly with major Australian insurers and their loss adjusters on residential and commercial storm, fire and water-damage repair scopes.

Can I choose my own builder for an insurance claim?+

In many cases, yes — depending on your policy and insurer. Some policies allow you to nominate your preferred builder for the repair. We're happy to talk to your insurer or loss adjuster directly to clarify this for your claim.

Do you handle the scope and quote for the insurer?+

Yes. We prepare accurate, compliant scopes and quotations in the format insurers and loss adjusters require, which helps claims get approved faster and reduces back-and-forth during the repair.

What types of damage do you repair?+

Storm and water damage, flood damage, fire damage, and structural damage — from emergency make-safe works through to full reinstatement to pre-loss condition or better.

How quickly can you start after a storm event?+

We prioritise make-safe and emergency works to prevent further damage, then move into the assessed repair scope once the claim is approved. After major Gold Coast storm events we work to respond as quickly as capacity allows.

Is the repair work guaranteed?+

Yes. Insurance repair work carried out by Mintconstruct is completed to our standard finish and backed by the relevant statutory warranties and QBCC Home Warranty Insurance where applicable.
